How many times we were surprised to discover anecdotes or stories of the place we have lived in for so many years and that we were completely unaware of?
The Official Tourist Guides Board of the Balearic Islands (COGTIB) launches a Christmas campaign aimed at promoting the rich cultural, artistic and natural heritage of our islands, through the expertise of one of our guides.
With the slogan: this Christmas “give a tourist guide as a gift”, this group made up of nearly 200 official guides qualified in several languages, aims to bring culture closer to the residents and visitors of the islands during the Christmas holidays. The idea is to offer guided tours to our family or friends so that, with the help of a professional, they can learn about the history and culture of the villages of the islands. Through the COGTIB website and its guide search engine, those who are interested can contact one of these professionals, who will advise on the most appropriate tour depending on their interests, place of residence and profile of the people to whom it is addressed. The idea is to tailor the tour to your needs. Once the program has been agreed, the guide will issue a gift voucher that will be sent to the person receiving the gift. Date and time of the visit will be arranged with the guide once the voucher has been purchased.
This is an original way to make a gift this Christmas and at the same time to get a little closer to those places that, although familiar, are unknown to us in terms of their origin and historical context.
The procedure is very easy: just visit the COGTIB website www.colegioguiasib.com  and look in the section “Search for guides”. Choose a guide and send him/her an email with the details of the tour you want to do and he/she will send you a reply with all the details.
